Questions Worth Asking

Is Slung Dung anti-church?

No. Slung Dung is not against the church, theology, ministry, or Christian community. This ministry is pro-Christ and pro-truth. It challenges religious performance, institutional pride, and traditions that may distract people from genuinely knowing Jesus.

What does “counting it all as dung” mean?

The phrase comes from Philippians 3:7–8. Paul explained that his religious status, achievements, and credentials were worthless compared with the surpassing value of knowing Jesus Christ. The message is not that every religious activity is evil, but that nothing should compete with Christ.

Who is this website intended for?

SlungDung.com is for sincere believers who feel spiritually exhausted, confused by religious systems, hurt by church experiences, or ready to examine inherited traditions. It is also for people who want to return to Scripture and develop a more honest, personal relationship with Jesus.

Does religious activity equal spiritual maturity?

Not necessarily. Church attendance, ministry titles, theological education, and religious activity can be meaningful, but they do not automatically produce spiritual maturity. True growth is reflected through knowing Christ, living by truth, loving others, and allowing Scripture to transform the heart.

Is it wrong to question religious traditions?

No. Honest questions can lead to greater clarity and stronger faith. Every belief and tradition should be examined in the light of Scripture. The goal is not to become cynical or rebellious, but to distinguish biblical truth from customs, assumptions, and institutional expectations.
